Get answers to common questions about Lower Lip.
Come with clean, makeup-free skin and hair about a quarter to half an inch long. Avoid exfoliating 24-48 hours beforehand, and let us know about medications or recent skin treatments so we can customize care.
Most clients feel brief, manageable stinging during the quick procedure. Sensitivity varies with skin type and hair coarseness; redness and tenderness typically subside within a few hours. We use calming techniques and targeted aftercare to ease discomfort.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on your individual hair cycle. With regular waxing, regrowth often becomes finer. We recommend scheduling touch-ups every four to six weeks for consistent smoothness.
Topical retinoids increase skin sensitivity and risk of irritation or tearing. Stop retinoid use seven to ten days before waxing or consult your dermatologist. If you recently used them, request a patch test before a full Lower Lip service.
Avoid waxing with active cold sores, sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, or medications like Accutane. Inform us about blood thinners, diabetes, pregnancy, or other conditions so we can assess safety or offer alternatives.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise, and makeup for 24 hours. Gently cleanse and apply aloe or a calming gel. Exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and use SPF when outdoors.
