Get answers to common questions about Hands And Fingers.
Typically results last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle, hormones, and aftercare. Regular waxes often reduce density and can extend time between appointments. Exfoliate gently and moisturize to help prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smoothness.
Some discomfort is normal during hair removal, but our sugar wax and trained technicians minimize pain and irritation. We'll perform skin assessments, use soothing pre/post-care products, and recommend patch tests for reactive skin. Redness typically fades within hours to a day.
Clean, dry skin is best: avoid lotions or oils on the day of your service. Let hair be at least a quarter inch long for effective removal. Inform us of medications, skin conditions, or recent exfoliation to ensure safe, comfortable waxing.
Waxing removes hair from the root, lowering ingrown hair risk compared to shaving. To further prevent ingrowns, exfoliate gently two to three times weekly, moisturize daily, and use recommended products. If prone to ingrown hairs, ask about targeted aftercare at your appointment.
Many skin sensitivities can be accommodated, but we require disclosure of conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or recent chemical treatments. We'll perform a consultation and patch test if needed and may adjust technique or recommend alternative hair removal to protect skin health.
Aim for approximately a quarter inch of hair so the wax can grip and remove follicles properly. If hair is too short, wait a week; if it is longer than half an inch, a trim may improve comfort and results before your appointment.
